Kubet® UCS

ANTI-WASHOUT ADMIXTURE FOR UNDERWATER CONCRETE AND MORTAR

Kubet® UCS is a powdered underwater/anti-washout admixture. Kubet® UCS is made for the purpose to increase the cohesion of cementitious component in water. Kubet® UCS is enable to protect concrete from washout during pass through the water.

Kubet® UCS is composed of high-molecular compound and is enable to contribute integrity of concrete placed underwater. Kubet® UCS need to be in harmony with polycarboxylate based admixtures in order to decrease mixing water.
  • Without segregation due to increase by strong cohesion.
  • Not need to vibrate for compacting by extended workability.
  • Minimizing water pollution because of superior anti-washout properties.

Usage

Kubet® UCS is mainly used for the following applications.
  • Underwater foundation of bridge
  • Breakwaters and near sea construction
  • Impossible site of tampping
  • Marine construction

Compatibility

Do not use the naphthalenesulfonic acid for the purpose of water's reduction.

Reasonable admixtures should be the kind of polycarbonate(Kubet® viscocrete® 5)
Technical Information

Concreting Guidance

Concrete included Kubet® UCS must be flow than slump for reasons of viscosity.

Specific Advice

Do not expose concrete to continued flow of water during hardening.

Concrete Mixing Time

Recommand to dry mix for 30sec before addition of water.

Compatibility

Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mixes and contact our Technical Service Department for information and advice about any specific combinations

DISPENSING

  • Kubet® UCS should not be added to the mixing water. it can usually be added at the batching plant with the aggregate for dispersion instead.
  • After dry mix, A wet mixing time is depending on the mixing conditions and mixer performance, of at least 90 seconds is recommended.

For calculation of the proper water amount, the exact dosage of the Kubet® UCS/superplasticizer and the final demanded concrete properties have to be taken into account.

In all cases before application, suitability tests must be performed.
